In the middle of the King Tides on Tuvalu

The water is not only washing over the coastline, but it is also seeping through small holes in the porous atoll ground. It is a bit less salty than ordinary sea water (so they say here) and it is quite polluted. The PH is around 4, while PH for sea water normally is around 8. Maybe it is the pigs houses that we can see in the background, maybe it is the pink toilets beside the meeeting house?
