Lan started her climate life working on information and media for the Norwegian student organization Spires in Copenhagen in 2009. Since then she has been active in Spire as the coordinator of the climate group and leading Spires delegations to the June session in Bonn and to COP16 in Cancun, and with work for the International Youth Climate Movement.
Parallell to climate related work Lan has been working full time co-arranging the Mela World Performing Arts Festival, presenting music, dance, literature and artisans from all continents for over 400.000 people in Oslo summer 2009.
As a journalist, she has one year with the Norwegian newspaper Utrop, in addition to spare-time freelancing since 2007. She has a bachelor degree in Development Studies from Oslo University College, with a one year exchange at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa and 6 months with Culture Studies in Hoi An, Vietnam, engagning in both climate related work and local NGOs in both countries.
Lan will be starting her master degree in Culture, Environment and Sustainability at Centre for Development and the Environment, University of Oslo Autumn 2011.
